Pie? You Betcha.

As promised, here is some photographic evidence of my latest baking adventure: gluten-free pie. And yes, it is balancing on the railing of the catwalk leading to our apartment. The lighting in our place is absolutely not conducive to food photography. The beautiful autumn sunshine, on the other hand, is. The recipe for this appley, cinnamony, sugary goodness came courtesy of Shauna James Ahern‘s book, “Gluten-Free Girl.” (Thank you, Shauna!). And I’m willing to bet this beauty could win first prize at any county fair.
This post is a short one since I’m off to catch a ferry. I’ll be spending the holiday weekend on one of the Gulf Islands cooking up a veritable feast (more on that to come). Have a great weekend, enjoy this lovely season and Happy Canadian Thanksgiving!
